Congratulations to ETH Pioneer Fellow Nevena Paunovic!
We are proud to announce this award for our doctoral student Nevena Paunovic! Pioneer Fellowships are awarded for a period of 18 months and they support ETH graduates who are developing highly innovative products.
Nevena will be working alongside David on painless alternative to deliver injectable drugs.
Macromolecular drugs such as peptides and proteins are highly potent compounds used to treat a wide range of diseases. Unfortunately, the majority come as injectables. This challenge can be overcome by a novel transmucosal delivery and achieve an increase in absorption of up to 100 times when compared to a regular pill.
